About

I’m Erin, a human who lives in Chicago.

I’m a special education teacher, a new mom, an organizer, a communicator, a doer of stuff, a maker of things, and appreciator of good humaning.

I had my baby in September, 2016. With lots of support and a strange concatenation of circumstances, I was able to take the rest of the school year for my maternity leave. The first few months were spent figuring out how to keep a small human alive while also sleeping and eating. As I gradually moved on from survival mode, I started catching a few minutes here and there to think on some established interests and explore some new ones.

I’m here to document my exploration of the world. I’ve benefitted from many of the resources others have shared online, so I’m hoping to pay it forward to share my experiences.
